Susan Schwarz, Associate Director of Children's Ministries and

                              Sabbath School Department                                            

Susan Schwarz has been sharing her love for children for more than 20 years in the Central California Conference. The  department regularly provides Leadership Training sessions to equip the local churches leaders to reach the precious children in their communities. Children's ministries specialist's from across North America are invited to present instruction using the most current and effective child evangelism methods. Each spring and fall several events are conducted, giving the opportunity for Children's Ministries leaders from the local churches to attend training with updated information concerning children. Events include Vacation Bible School programing and NAD Certification classes. 

The annual Soquel Camp Meeting  is one of the main responsibilities that Susan coordinates. Each year individual that have experience working  with children are asked to commit to lead the programs for ages 0-12. Division leaders work closely with Susan for staffing, programing planning and documentation for all staff members each year. The creative, Bible-centered programs the children experience each summer are the result of much prayer, planning and the dedication of more than 55 adults, plus 35-40, teens, youth and Bible workers. "The hours of planning, praying and hard work are all worth it when I see the children's excitement as they learn the wonderful Bible stories and discover that Jesus is their Best Friend," says Susan. The praise is given to our LORD for HIS guidance of His Holy Spirit.  The opportunity to reach children for the Kingdom of Heaven is the reward. She adds "It is amazing to see how God blesses and cares about every detail of this ministry. It's a privileged to be involved with others that dedicate their time and efforts to share HIS truth with the children.

At a personal level Susan's family have been actively involved in local church children's ministries, including Branch Sabbath Schools, community service, various programs for children such as Vacation Bible Schools, and  children's outreach. The Schwarz's have five children and six grandchildren.
